The Batcave from the 1960's Batman TV show...

In the camp and colourful 1960's TV series 'Batman', Adam West starred as the titular hero and Burt Ward was his crime-fighting sidekick, the Boy Wonder 'Robin'.

The dynamic duo's super secret headquarters was the 'Batcave' and this is the actual location where the 'Batmobile' would come driving out of the hidden HQ on a weekly basis.

The filming location is at the Bronson Caves (also known as Bronson Canyon) in L.A.'s Griffith Park. You can reach the Batcave from Canyon Drive, parking in the last parking lot on the right-hand side and hiking up the hill.

You can actually walk into the mouth of the Batcave and through the short tunnel, don't worry you can see daylight on the other side, and you exit out into a quarry-like area (which itself makes for a perfect filming location and frequently has for TV and movie alike). Then if you walk further out into this area to your left you'll see the infamous Hollywood Sign sat atop Mount Lee.

I have to say, watching the TV show as a kid growing up, it was quite a thrill to walk through the Batcave and uncovering more secrets of Hollywoodland.

Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley movie costumes on display...

To promote the forthcoming release of the latest installment in the Harry Potter movie franchise, ArcLight Hollywood had this fantastic movie costume display from previous films in its cinema foyer on November 10, 2010.

Along with wizard robes worn by Professor Dumbledore and Lord Voldemort, there were also Hogwarts school uniforms worn by Harry, Ron and Hermione, plus Harry Potter's Gryffindor Quidditch team robes.

First up are the Hogwarts school robes worn by Emma Watson as the studious 'Hermione Granger' and the Gryffindor Quidditch team robes worn by Daniel Radcliffe as the titular 'Harry Potter' in first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (or Philosopher's Stone as it's called in Great Britain).

Next up are Daniel Radcliffe's Hogwarts robes and the school uniform worn by Rupert Grint as Harry's best friend, 'Ron Weasley'. It's amazing to see these outfits from the first film in 2001, as all the lead child actors have grown up so much, on and off screen, since then.

As Harry and his friends have spent their formative years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry I thought I'd also share some photos from my recent visit to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando on September 23, 2010, where they have recreated the infamous school, the Hogwarts Express steam train and local Hogsmeade Village.

Original Prince Caspian Lucy and Edmund Pevensie movie costumes and props on display...

In the second installment in The Chronicles of Narnia, 'Prince Caspian' blows a magical horn and summons the kings and queens of old back to Narnia to help him battle his evil uncle, 'Lord Miraz'.

When the Pevensie children arrive at the ruins of their former castle, Cair Paravel, they exchange their school uniforms for more Narnian attire. These are the actual costumes designed by Isis Mussenden and worn by the two youngest siblings, Georgie Henley as 'Lucy Pevensie' and Skandar Keynes as 'Edmund Pevensie'.

Hop film set at Runyon Canyon in L.A...

Besides all the original movie vehicles, outfits and props I like to feature here at Hollywood Movie Costumes and Props, I always try and keep my eyes open in case I spy any 'on location' filming happening around Hollywood.

Here are just a few behind-the-scenes photos from the forthcoming comedy Hop, which has a plot about someone having to replace the Easter Bunny after they accidentally knock it down.

This movie set was built near the top of Runyon Canyon in L.A. (near the Mulholland Drive entrance).

The set piece appears to be part of the Hollywood Sign, maybe the massive 'D', so I can only assume that they'll add the rest of the infamous sign digitally in post production. But I may be totally wrong and we'll need to wait until the film in released next year to know how it is used in the finished movie.

These on location photos were taken on May 31, 2010 and the movie is due out in cinemas in April 2011.
