The latest CoverGirl TV commercial featuring Taylor Swift has been unveiled, exposing her glamorous side while promoting the products called NatureLuxe. The 21-year-old blonde star rocks a long gown and a mini dress which are both in glittering gold. Her curly blonde hair is let loose and she sports her iconic bright red lipstick.

As a CoverGirl spokesperson, the "Innocence" singer attended the COVERGIRL 50th Anniversary Celebration at BOA Steakhouse in West Hollywood on Wednesday night, January 5. Wearing a little black dress by Mark & James, she was joined by fellow CoverGirl spokesperson Ellen DeGeneres on the yellow carpet.

Taylor has previously appeared in a print ad and a TV commercial for other NatureLuxe's products. She sported a thin make-up in the natural-themed ads.

Taylor Swift Stays Strong at No. 1 on Hot 200 as Holiday Albums Tank

Taylor Swift extends her reign on Billboard Hot 200 at the beginning of this new year. Her country music album "Speak Now" holds on the first position with another 77,000 copies sold in the slow week of the rundown. Although there is no new entry at the Top 10, the holdovers sitting behind her is quite different from those of last week.

After staying in the list for several weeks, holiday albums such as Susan Boyle's "The Gift", "Glee"

Christmas compilation, and Jackie Evancho's "O Holy Night", are out of the Top 10. Their vacant slots at the second, third and fourth are claimed by Eminem's Rihanna's "Loud" and Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday" respectively.

The likes of Kanye West's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy", Daft Punk's "Tron Legacy" soundtrack, Bruno Mars's "Doo - Wops & Hooligans", and Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" make their return after being absent for some weeks and more. Kanye moves up to No. 5, Daft Punk rise to No. 6, Bruno jumps up to No. 7, and Katy pops up at No. 9.

Also getting the advantage of the slow week sales to appear at the Top 10 is Mumford & Sons. The group's debut album "Sigh No More" finally breaks the list after making its way out in the United States for several months now. They fly up 26 slots to No. 8, scoring their first Top 10 album. The only album staying on the list but suffering decrease isKeyshia Cole's "Calling All Hearts". It's forced to drop one spot from No. 9 to rounding up the Top 10.

2011 People's Choice Awards has started welcoming the guests on Wednesday night, January 5 by rolling out the blue carpet. Seen among the first coming to the show were Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez. 

The country music singer, whose brief romance with Jake Gyllenhaal was recently reported over, came out in a loose pink dress which bares some skin.
Selena, who along with The Scene is nominated for Favorite Breakout Artist, exposed her feminine side in a white one-shouldered dress. 

Seemingly in the mood of party, Kim Kardashian and Miranda Cosgrovedonned glittering dresses. The reality TV star opted a golden tone for her appearance that night, while the "iCarly" cutie opted a silver dress which was matched with her natural make up. 

Emma Roberts, Niki Taylor, Raven Symone and Cat Deeley opted classic black outfits. Still, blonde model Niki managed to catch people's attention by baring her back despite the cold weather. 

From the male camp, there were Zac Efron, Chris Colfer and Stephen Moyer who opted black and white ensembles. Shane West and Neil Patrick Harris also showed up in semi formal style, with the former tagging along a lady in black dress and the latter coming with his spouse David Burtka.

 Taylor Swift is undoubtedly one of today's biggest stars but she is still unlucky in love. Recently getting a lot of attention for her romance with Jake Gyllenhaal, the singer is single again in early 2011 as sources say she and the actor called it quits just before New Year's Eve.

While representatives for both stars refuse to comment on the report, a source

reveals that it was Jake who first thought that they could not be together anymore. "Jake reached out to her and started all of this, but now he's not acting as interested," the source tells Us Weekly.

"He said he wasn't feeling it anymore and was uncomfortable with all the attention they got," the source adds. "He also said he could feel the age difference. Taylor is really upset. We told her not to move so fast with this but she didn't listen."

An insider close to the "Brothers" actor adds, "Jake cares about her, but [the publicity] was a lot for him. He wants to keep his private life private, and that's hard to do dating Taylor."

The couple, who was first reported dating in October last year, has since spent their holidays apart. Taylor rang in 2011 in Nashville while Jake was in New York. They were last seen hanging out together on December 9 in Los Angeles.

Taylor Swift Stays Firm Atop Hot 200 With 'Speak Now'

Closing 2009 by scoring U.S. best-selling album with her "Fearless", Taylor Swift is now going to end this year atop Billboard Hot 200. Her latest effort "Speak Now" holds the first position, which she successfully snatched from Susan Boyle's "The Gift" last week, by adding 276,000 copies. It's her third non-consecutive week atop the chart.

As "Speak Now" is unmoved from its last week's position, "The Gift"

also remains steady at the second place with another 240,000 units. Jackie Evancho's "O Holy Night" stands still at the fourth as well, selling another 151,000. Michael Jackson's self-titled album, however, was forced to give up its third position, swapping places with "Glee" Christmas album. The posthumous set drops with 150,000, and the yuletide collection moves up with 160,000.

The highest chart debut this week is Jamie Foxx's "Best Night of My Life" which enters at No. 6 with 144,000. Keyshia Cole's "Calling All Hearts" is another album which breaks the Top 10 list. It bows at the ninth place on the U.S. albums chart with 128,000.

"Recovery" makes its return to the Top 10 at No. 7. The Eminem album pulls in 137,000, adding a total of around 3.3 million copies and becoming this year's U.S. best-selling album so far. Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday" follows at No. 8 with 133,000, and Rihanna's "Loud" rounds up the Top 10 with 111,000.

Elsewhere, Bruno Mars scores the third biggest sales week for a digital song in history as his single "Grenade" rules Digital Songs chart with 559,000 downloads. In respective order, the first and second biggest digital sales week are Flo Rida's "Right Round" (636,000), and Ke$ha's "Tik Tok" (610,000).

After dethroned from the top spot of Billboard Hot 200 following her historical 1-million-copy debut, Taylor Swift finally clears her way back to the penthouse of the U.S. albums chart this week. The country music singer claims the No. 1 position once again with her latest effort "Speak Now".

She switches places with Susan Boyle. As the young singer moves up to the first spot with additional 259,000 copies (up 29%), the "Britain's Got Talent" singing sensation has to drop one slot to the runner-up place with 254,000 units sold for her set "The Gift".

So far, "Speak Now" has sold a total of 2.6 million copies after only two months of release. It becomes this year's third-best selling album, standing behind Eminem's "Recovery" (3.2 million) and Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" (3 million).

Beside pushing aside Boyle, Swift also stands in Michael Jackson's way to the top spot through his first posthumous album. Featuring Akon, 50 Cent and Lenny Kravitz, the "Michael" CD lands at the third place with 228,000 in its opening week.

The next two spots are secured by Jackie Evancho's "O Holy Night" and "Glee" Christmas album. Next, there are R. Kelly and Diddy-Dirty Money. Kelly arrives at No. 6 with "Love Letter" (154,000), and the Dirty Money enter just behind him with "Last Train to Paris" (101,000). Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday" falls from No. 6 to No. 8, Kid Rock's "Born Free" returns to the Top 10 list at No. 9 after being absent for a while, and "Glee" once again makes a double invasion by placing its "Volume 4" collection at No. 10.

The next highest chart debut outside the Top 10 this week is Crystal Bowersox's "Farmer's Daughter". Selling around 58,000 copies with her debut album, the "American Idol" runner-up bows at No. 28. She beats winner Lee DeWyze in opening sale number, but her "Farmer's Daughter" chart debut is a couple slots lower than his "Live It Up". He entered at No. 19 with 39,000 last month.

When writing lyrics about her former flames, she pretends no one will ever hear her songs because if she took their feelings into consideration, she would have to edit her work "down to nothing."

And by doing so, Swift never worries about what the men or other people will think of her confessions. "I started writing songs with the idea that no one would ever hear them - and that's how I continue to write. If I considered (everyone's) opinions, I would edit songs down to nothing. Writing from the place 'I can say whatever I want because all I'm doing is telling the truth and no one is going to hear this anyway', you tend to be more honest," she said in a magazine interview.


Taylor Swift has frequently become talk of the town for penning autobiographical songs which lead speculation about her love life. The couple reportedly was also in the coffeehouse on Sunday and a source tells the site that they "looked like they were more than friends." Meanwhile, another source tells People, "Apparently Jake likes a cappuccino with maple syrup. Frothy has the real deal in the maple syrup department."
