John Carpenter's classic 1978 movie created an iconic slasher horror villain in Michael Myers. When he was six years old he killed his older sister, then fifteen years later he escaped the mental institute he was committed to and returned to his home town, stalking teenager 'Laurie Strode' (played by Jamie Lee Curtis) and murdering her friends.
