Nominations List of 2011 BAFTA Awards: 'The King's Speech' Leads With 14

Gearing up for its 2011 awards, BAFTA has unveiled the nominations list of the upcoming prize-giving event. "The King's Speech" once again comes out as the favorite as it dominates the list with 14 nods, including for Best Film, Outstanding British Film, Director, Original Screenplay, Leading Actor as well as Supporting Actor and Actress.
In the Best Film category, the British drama will be up against "Black Swan" which gets 12 nominations in total. Also vying the coveted prize are "Inception" which takes 9, "The Social Network" which earns 6, and "True Grit" which grabs 8.

Four of Best Film nominees will also get a chance to take Director prize. Darren Aronofsky ("Black Swan"), Christopher Nolan ("Inception"), Tom Hooper ("The King's Speech") and David Fincher ("The Social Network") land each a nod in the category, leaving the last place to "127 Hours" helmer Danny Boyle.

Colin Firth and Natalie Portman, who just took home a kudo from Golden Globes, could add another trophy to their own shelves for they are nominated for Leading Actor and Actress respectively. "The King's Speech" actor faces Javier Bardem ("Biutiful"), Jeff Bridges ("True Grit"), Jesse Eisenberg ("The Social Network") and James Franco ("127 Hours") for the title, while the "Black Swan" beauty's rivals are Annette Bening ("The Kids Are All Right"), Julianne Moore ("The Kids Are All Right"), Noomi Rapace ("The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo") and Hailee Steinfeld ("True Grit").

As it has been announced before, Orange Wednesdays Rising Award nominees are Gemma Arterton, Andrew Garfield, Tom Hardy, Aaron Johnson and Emma Stone. "The Social Network" star Garfield gets another nomination for he is put alongside Christian Bale ("The Fighter"), Pete Postlethwaite ("The Town"), Mark Ruffalo ("The Kids Are All Right") and Geoffrey Rush ("The King's Speech") in Supporting Actor category.

This year's British Academy Film Awards will take place Sunday, February 13 at the Royal Opera House in London.
